Terminal B (Tom Bradley), Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)
Introduction
This is my review of the pretty good Qantas First Lounge in Terminal B of Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).
I’ve visited a number of Qantas lounges including the one in London, and my favourite in Singapore – the Qantas First Lounge in LAX has been on my list for some time to review, but I’ve not been to LAX for a while.
For me, this lounge was missing the sleekness of the Singapore Lounge, but was still pretty good.

Opening Hours
The lounge is open daily from 06:30 to 21:00, apart from on Saturdays, where it opens 09:00 to 21:45.
Entry Conditions
This lounge is open to passengers flying First Class on Qantas, or any other OneWorld Airline with First Class cabins.
Alternatively, the lounge is open to OneWorld Emerald members – and this lounge is pretty good!
How to Get There
Once you’re through Security, walk through the ‘tunnel’ and you’ll find yourself in the main Concourse.
Look right, and you’ll see the Food Court, with escalators just in front. Take the escalators up a level, walk past the OneWorld lounge on your left, and towards the end of the corridor you will see the glass doors of the Qantas First lounge to your left.
Alternatively, if you’re coming from Terminal 4 or 5, you can use the elevator to Level 5 and walk along the mezzanine, and you’ll see the doors just around the corner to the right.
Layout
The lounge is fairly long and narrow, and as you enter the lounge you’ll find mostly casual seating and sofas.
Towards the back of the lounge you’ll find the restaurant area and a long bar for drinking.
One thing that was visibly missing for me from this lounge, was any kind of area for working – there was no printer and no desk areas. Possibly this was intentional as this is a First Class lounge, not a Business Class one – so perhaps the decision was deliberate not to have 100’s of people shouting over each other on Zoom calls.
Food and Drink
Drinks
There are some self-service area for coffee and wine, but most of the drinks came from the bar – or were served in the restaurant.
As you might expect from an Australian lounge, there was an extensive wine list of Australian wines. There was also an excellent range of beers too!
Food
Whilst there are a few snacks such as crisps and nuts on a self-service level, all of the good comes courtesy of the excellent food menu (above). The food was very good indeed, although perhaps on the small side portion wise!
The service I found to be OK, but not as good as the service in Singapore. I had to wait quite a while for refills of any drinks – and my order was also misunderstood (I asked to switch mascarpone to vanilla ice cream) ended up in being brought two deserts!
The food was nevertheless very good, relatively well presented, and tasted good.
Wifi
Wifi in this lounge did work fine, and was OK in the dining area.
However there are parts of the lounge where there is no Wifi or phone signal – so bear this in mind when finding somewhere to sit!
Showers
Having flown into LA on a red-eye from the East Coast a long shower was most definitely needed!
My shower was excellent in terms of cleanliness, quality and the products offered – my shower was hot for the 15 minutes I was in it!
Conclusion
I’ve been to this lounge many times and it’s never been a letdown.
It’s definitely the best OneWorld lounge in Los Angeles – but having no place for working was a bit annoying!
Is it as good as the London and Singapore? I think the lounge in Singapore has the edge.
