Queen Alia International Airport, Amman, Jordan
Neil Scrivener reviews the Marhaba Plaza Premium Lounge in Amman’s Queen Alia International Airport, accessed by Plaza Premium membership, American Express or Priority Pass.
Introduction
This is my review of the Marhaba Plaza Premium Lounge, which is located airside at Amman International Airport.
The lounge is located on the mezzanine balcony, opposite The Crown Lounge, which is ran by Royal Jordanian for OneWorld members.
In many ways this is a different lounge to many – the decor is great fun and quite unusual!

Entry Conditions
My understanding that access can be granted by:
- Having Plaza Premium membership
- Having an American Express Platinum Card
- Having a Priority Pass
- Paying on the door, around $75USD
There may be other methods of entry too, such as Dragon Pass, etc.
Opening Times
The lounge is open 24hrs daily.
How to Get There
This is very easy to find!
Once you’re through Security and out of Duty Free, make a turn to the left, following the signs for Gates 21-24 / 202-228.
You’ll find the entrance where you’ll check in downstairs and head up in the elevator to the lounge.
Layout
This isn’t a huge lounge, but take about a quarter of the mezzanine/balcony level.
The lounge has a variety of cafe seating, casual seating and sofas.
The large glass windows mainly look over the entrance to the airport.
Food and Drink
Drinks
Although Jordan is a Muslim country, like Dubai airport lounges, it serves a variety of alcoholic drinks from the bar – this included decent beers and even cocktails. Alternatively there are self-serve coffee and soft drinks machines.
Food
The food in the lounge wasn’t by any means extensive, but had a good range of hot breakfast items, bread, salads, cereal etc.
Breakfast isn’t my favourite meal of the day, so hopefully next time I visit it may be lunch or dinner time!
Wifi
The Wifi in the lounge I found to be reliable and fast. I had quite a few work things to do, and the Wifi was perfect for that purpose!
Showers
There are showers in this lounge. I didn’t visit them and I don’t believe there is a charge to use them – but I could be wrong!
Conclusion
This is a good lounge, with fun decor and decent food and drink. I’d be happy to come back here again!
