DUB Dublin โ€“ Terminal 2 โ€“ Aer Lingus Lounge โ€“ Airline Lounge Review (OneWorld)

  • April 10, 2025

Terminal 2, Dublin Airport, Ireland

Introduction

This is my review of the Aer Lingus Lounge, in Terminal 2.

Until recently, this was an Aer Lingus only lounge – but it has since allowed British Airways/OneWorld passengers into it, since the Liffey Lounge in Terminal 1 stopped.

Opening Hours

The lounge is open daily from 04:15 to 21:00.

Entry Conditions

Access to this lounge is not easiest to work out:

  • Flying Business Class with Aer Lingus gets you in
  • Flying Business Class with British Airways
  • OneWorld Sapphire and Emerald members are also allowed in
  • If you have an Advantage or Aerfare, you can visit
  • AerClub silver members can visit
  • Bank of Ireland Mastercard Gold holders can visit

How to Get There

From Terminal 1, follow the signs to Terminal 2 taking a walk down a very long corridor.

At some point you’ll find the fairly obvious entrance to the lounge.

Layout

Despite Aer Lingus’ presence in Dublin, their ‘flagship’ lounge is in fact fairly small.

On the ground level, there is a range of seating which overlook the apron of the airport. This is resting seating, some sofa seating and a few desks – which could be used for dining or working (not not many).

There is also a mezzanine level, which is probably intended for more resting. This level has various ‘pods’ (which have power) as well what I would describe as a sleeping area.

Additionally on the mezzanine level there is a small coffee station, with fridges containing soft drinks.

And that is pretty much it!

Food and Drink

The food and drink in this lounge can only be described as ‘basic’.

There are self-service coffee machines, and fridges.

Fortunately, being a Dublin-based lounge, there was plenty of Guinness in the fridges. Other than that – there various soft drinks, wines and a small selection of spirits.

On the food side, things are even more basic than the drinks! A bowl of crisps, some brownies and some cookies is about all you’re going to get!

In the fridges there are some small packs of cheese to go with some crackers – and there is the possibility to have a sandwich, or soup – but that is it!

Wifi

The wifi in this lounge I found to be very good for what I needed to do.

Showers

Despite this lounges small size, there are showers available both in the disabled toilet the the upstairs mezzanine. I didn’t visit the upstairs showers, but I get a picture of the (presumably out of action) shower in the disabled toilet.

Conclusion

Given Aer Lingus’ size in Dublin Airport, this lounge is fairly small, and certainly disappointing in terms of its size and food offering. There is barely any table space to work from a laptop – let alone a quiet space to take calls, etc.

As a Dublin lounge, I was glad to see that there was plenty of Guinness flowing. So I think ultimately, as a decent place to rest for a few hours – but certainly not worth getting to the airport early for!
