Terminal 1 (Concourse D), Dubai International Airport
Introduction
This is my review of the Ahlan Lounge in Dubai’s Terminal 1, in Concourse D.
This is one of 3 lounges in Dubai’s Terminal 1 which allows Priority Pass members through the door, with the others being the SkyTeam lounge, and Marhaba lounge.
Opening Hours
This lounge is open 24 hours.
Entry Conditions
This is a lounge which is open to Priority Pass and Dragon Pass members – there may be some member airlines which use this lounge too.
Alternatively, it is possible to pay in advance (and possibly on the door) for a fee.
How to Get There
Once through Security you’ll be taking a train to Concourse D.
Once off the train and on the shopping level, take a walk through to the shopping area – and pick an escalator.
I suggest the escalator to your left (with the train behind you) – but taking the one on the right you can walk around the balcony, and you’ll find the lounge.
If you’ve understood my terrible directions, you should see the lounge opposite the Ahlan First Class lounge.

Layout
Of the 3 Priority Pass Lounges in Dubai’s Terminal 1, this is probably the biggest of the lounges.
The lounge has really nice luxury feeling decor, along with a well thought about layout.
This is a lounge which has more of a focus on dining seating, so there is some lounge seating – but not a huge amount.

Dining seating is at large throughout the lounge, placed around the dining area and bar.

There is a small area to work from, which includes a small desk, printer and two chairs close to the desk – I guess sort of like a mini office! This is a great place to work from or take calls privately.

Lastly, there is a sleeping area, with a few lounger-style chairs.

Food and Drink
Drinks
There are some self-service drinks in this bar, which include coffee, slushies and other items.

There are also some cold drinks served from a large fridge.

Unlike the SkyTeam and Marhaba lounges, this lounge has a full-service bar, with very enthusiastic bar tenders and a cocktail menu!

Food
The food in this lounge is to be well commended! There are large towering fridges with a range of items. I was there at breakfast time, but despite this, the lounge had a variety of food inkeeping with 24hr lounges!

Additionally, there are the usual buffet hot food stations, as well as other servings of fruit, etc. There is also a chef’s station – I wasn’t sure if this station was there to make bespoke items, or there to serve the buffet – but either way it looked impressive!

Wifi
The Wifi worked for me, and was pretty good during my visit.
Showers
The good news is there is no extra charge for these showers!
The showers are of great quality – although no Dyson hairdryers here!

Conclusion
This lounge is a great lounge!
It is well thought about in terms of decor and layout. It has good food, nicely presented. It has a bar service and great drinks. Plus it has great showers!
I think for Priority Pass lounges in Dubai’s Terminal 1, the Ahlan Lounge is my favourite!
