Terminal 3/E-Gates, Las Vegas Airport

Introduction

This is my review of The Club at LAS, an airport lounge in Las Vegas.  

The reasons I ended up here are slightly unique…. I was taking a flight from Las Vegas to San Francisco on Alaska Airlines. However, when checking in the Agent didn’t mention a Lounge. I realised when I got to this lounge that the reason behind this was that Alaska hadn’t renewed their contract – but I was lucky enough to get in using my Priority Pass.  

I’d previously visited a Club in San Jose, so was interested to see what this lounge had to offer.

Las Vegas’ airport is somewhat short of lounges – with only the only other lounges being a LAS Club, a United Club and a Centurion Lounge all at Terminal D.

Opening Hours

The lounge is open daily from 13:30 to 21:00 (with D-Gates open from 05:00 to 21:00).

Entry Conditions

In my case, entry was granted with a Priority Pass (no thanks to Alaska’s failure to renew their contract!).

Entry is also granted if you’re flying Business Class with British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, KLM – and a bunch of others. What happens if you’re not flying Business Class with those airlines, but have ‘status’, I’m not sure!

How to Get There

After Security, take a left all the way down to Gate E2, and you’ll see the lounge opposite.  

Layout

This is a small lounge. I was warned that it was very busy when arriving – and if it got too busy, I could go to the lounge at D Gates (which is a train ride away).  

I would describe this lounge as being more of a ‘leisure’ lounge than a working lounge.

There is plenty low and lounge seating.

There is also some dining seating, and high table seating.

There is not any business area that I could find – nor could I find any printers or other business facilities.

Food and Drink

Food

On the food side, this was an Admirals Club light! There were two hot soups available, some humus, salad plates and very finely cut brownies!

Drinks

On the drinks side, there is a very limited bar, with pretty much everything being paid for apart from basic soft drinks and house beers/wines!  

Wifi

Unfortunately, the Wifi was very slow for me.  

Showers

There are no showers in this particular lounge – however there are some at the D-Gates lounge.

Conclusion

Given that international carriers use this lounge for flights back to Europe (BA, Virgin, KLM, etc), it’s extremely disappointing to be offering this lounge to Business Class passengers; with very poor food options, no showers, no places to work and a clear warning on entry it may be overcrowded!

It’s the only lounge at E-Gates – but if you’ve time, I recommend heading to the Centurion Lounge at D-Gates!
