Terminal 4, Heathrow Airport
Introduction
This is my review of the Qatar Airways Frequent Flyer Lounge in Heathrow’s Terminal 4.
Since Qatar Airways introduced the P Fares (which don’t include lounge access), they have introduced Frequent Flyer Lounges for OneWorld frequent flyers.
This is a pretty good lounge – the main difference between this and the Premium Lounge is the a la carte dining. You can read my review of the Premium Lounge here.
Opening Hours
The lounge is open daily from 05:00 to 22:00.
Entry Conditions
Access to this lounge is for OneWorld Emerald or Sapphire Members. However, I am not exactly sure if this is for Qatar Airlines flights only, of if is open to passengers traveling on other OneWorld flights.
How to Get There
Once through Security take a left turn and head towards the end of the terminal.
You’ll find the entrance next to Gate 1b, or opposite Gate 6.
Once you’re through the entrance, you’ll find a desk where you’ll be greeted.
Passengers going to the Frequent Flyer Lounge will turn left. From there, it’s either down in the elevator or down the stairs.
Layout
This isn’t a huge lounge, and had a variety of different seating, and some eating areas.
One thing I did spot about the lounge is that there wasn’t anywhere really to sleep or relax.
There was however a very small working area, for any work or printing.
Food and Drink
Drinks
The drinks in this lounge are all self-service, there is no bar – but plenty of variety of drinks. There is also a tea/coffee station, which I forgot to get any pictures of!
Food
As I mentioned above, there is no a la carte service in this lounge – all food is self-service.
I arrived at the lounge around 06:20, which was breakfast.
Despite this, there was still a decent variety of hot food, pastries and fruit.
Wifi
The Wifi worked for me, and was fairly good during my visit, I was getting around 25mps up and down.
Showers
There are a small numbers of showers available in the lounge. As always, they were of great quality!
Conclusion
This is a good lounge, but it’s not quite the Premium Lounge! It has good seating, decent(ish) food and a good variety of drinks.
It’s a good lounge, but you may want to consider exploring the Plaza Premium Lounge as a Plan B!
