DUB Dublin – Terminal 2 – Liffey Lounge – Airline Lounge Review (Priority Pass)

Introduction

This is my review of the Dublin’s Liffey Lounge, in Terminal 2 (previously called…..er the T2 Lounge!).

I’d previously visited the also aptly called T1 lounge, in Terminal 1 – but fancied a change of scenery. As some say, the grass is always greener – but not in this case!

Opening Hours

The lounge is open daily from 08:00 to 17:00.

Entry Conditions

In my case, I was gained entry through my Priority Pass, however, I understand access may be also granted by other passes – or paying around €30 on the door.

How to Get There

From Terminal 1, follow the signs to Terminal 2 taking a walk down a very long corridor.

From Terminal 2, follow the signs to Terminal 1 taking a walk down a very long corridor.

At some point along the long corridor, you’ll find it next to the Aer Lingus lounge.

Layout

This lounge is extremely small and offers only casual seating. Some of the seating overlooks the apron. In fairness, despite its size, it is light and airy.

There is a very small ‘business centre’ with a desk and 3 seats – it does have a printer!

And that’s it!

Food and Drink

On any view, I would describe the T2 lounge’s food and drink at best as being scant.

On the food side, despite it being breakfast time, there was the bare minimum. A few scones, some bagels and some cereal. A small amount of muesli and yoghurts. Nothing inspiring whatsoever.

Drinks were equally as scant. Fridges with bottled beer and wine, some sad looking self-serve spirits on a stand that looked like it was bought at a car boot sale, and that was about it! What I hoped may be a beer tap was actually a water tap. Despite the lounge in T1’s efforts to serve Guinness (it is Dublin afterall!), there was none in T2.  

Wifi

There was no Wifi offered in this lounge. It was use of the airport’s poor wifi….. Not ideal!

Showers

Surprisingly, there was a shower – and compared to the lounge at Terminal 1 it was a lot bigger and didn’t have a pile of wet towels next to it!

The shower was pretty good in fact, but not quite luxury!

Conclusion

Sadly, Dublin really doesn’t have any good lounges – even the lounge on the ‘US side’ isn’t that good.

But, for a Priority Pass (read no effort nor expense spared) – I guess it’s about standard…..
