Terminal 1 (Concourse D), Dubai International Airport
Introduction
This is my review of the SkyTeam Lounge in Dubai’s Terminal 1, in Concourse D.
Traditionally, this is a lounge which is for SkyTeam members, but it also allows access for Priority Pass members – so I decided to visit.
Opening Hours
I believe this lounge is open 24 hours – although the website is rather unclear!
Entry Conditions
The lounge typically is for SkyTeam airlines such as KLM, Virgin Atlantic, Air France, Korean Airlines, and so forth.
However, lounge is also open to Priority Pass and Lounge Key members – but I am not sure if that is all the time, or just when the SkyTeam airlines are quieter.

How to Get There
Once through Security you’ll be taking a train to Concourse D.
Once off the train and on the shopping level, take a walk through to the shopping area – and pick an escalator.
I suggest the escalator to your left (with the train behind you) – but taking the one on the right you can walk around the balcony, and you’ll find the lounge.
If you’ve understood my terrible directions, you should see the lounge! If not – the lounge level pretty well sign-posted!

Layout
This lounge is a really well-designed lounge and has lots of areas for working, sleeping, relaxing, and eating. There is plenty of lounge seating, in numerous configurations.

There are also some quieter areas for relaxing, slightly more privately.

If you’re working there is a great little private work area, along with a printer and couple of computers.

Although slightly old-fashioned these days, there is a magazine rack, with lots of magazine!!

Food and Drink
Drinks
All drinks in this lounge are self-service and there are there are two ‘areas’ to grab a drink.
There are numerous coffee machines, which have soft drinks fridges under them.

Alternatively, if you’re after something a bit stronger, there is a fantasticly styled bar area – complete with a variety of wines, spirits, beers, etc.

Food
At the time I visited the lounge, it was breakfast time.
Dubai’s lounges can be sort of funny, in that unlike other lounges in the world, they serve ‘all day food’ rather than change for meals. I think this is good – especially as I am not a huge fan of traditional breakfast items.
The adequately sized buffet offered a variety of ‘hot’ breakfast items – but also some curries, rice and other ‘less breakfast’ dishes.

There was also various salads, and patisserie items available too.

Wifi
The Wifi worked for me, and was fairly good during my visit.
Showers
On my visit, I did ask about showers and was told it would be 60 AED. I suspect this was because I was coming in on a Priority Pass, and that SkyTeam users (or those flying Business Class) would have use of the showers complimentary.
I did manage to access the shower, and was surprised (and pleased) to see the really good quality of showers – and even Dyson hairdryers!

Conclusion
Whether you are flying with a SkyTeam partner, or accessing via a Priority Pass, this is a great lounge to visit! Its got a well thought out and modern design, has good food and drinks – and many areas to work from.
I enjoyed my experience here, and would certainly be happy to come back to explore its lunch and dinner offerings!
