Haneda Airport, Tokyo, Japan
Introduction
This is my review of the Japan Airlines (JAL) Sakura Lounge at Level 4 of Haneda’s Airport. There is also another Sakura Lounge, called the Sky View on the level above, which is available on the same terms as this lounge.

Opening Hours
The lounge is open daily from 06:00 until the last departing flight – which around 01:00.
Entry Conditions
My entry to this lounge was through flying Business Class with Japan Airlines. Otherwise access is available to OneWorld members with Sapphire or Emerald status.
On JAL’s own terms, access is available through flying First Class, Business Class, Premium Economy or on a flexible Economy ticket – which is far more than other OneWorld airlines offer.
It may also be the case the access can be purchased,
How to Get There
From Passport Control make a right hand turn towards Gate 114. Close to Gate 114 you will see a sign that says “Airline Lounges”, make a left here and you will see the escalators.
Take the escalators to Level 4 (the floor at the top of the first set of escalators) and you will find the entrance to the JAL Sakura Lounge on the right hand side.
Layout
On entering the lounge, I was told that it was busy, and I may wish to go to the Sky View lounge. In the end I did, but I stayed here for a while.
The lounge is made of mostly casual seating with low-tables, overlooking the airport’s apron.
There is also a large amount of dining seating too, as well as plenty of desk spaces to work from. As with all the JAL lounges, they seem to take pride in having lots of dining seating. I think this is great, as there is nothing worse than trying to eat off a low table!
There are some telephone rooms, which have power and USB charging – however, these do not have seats in them. My understanding is that it would be considered rude in Japanese culture to use the phone or be on Zoom calls in the ‘exposed’ lounge, hence having private rooms for calls. One of the many reasons I think we all have lots to learn from Japanese culture!
There is also a slightly dark room with a massage chair in it!
Food and Drink
Drinks
The drinks in this lounge are all self-service, through using the machines. Drinks on offer included beers, wines, soft drinks and hot drinks. However (and I may be mistaken) I didn’t immediately spot any Sake.
Food
Most of the food in this lounge is via a buffet service. Like the Sky View Lounge, the food was fairly basic – including a salad bar, fries, chicken or fish nuggets, and a few Japanese dishes. There was also some breads available too.
Sadly, I didn’t find much for a sweet tooth!
If you wanted it, there were a few options available to order from the App – however, this was nowhere near as extensive as the JAL First lounge.
Wifi
The Wifi I found to be strong and reliable – however I was mostly using it for emails and reading, rather than any streaming or heavy downloading.
Showers
There are showers in the lounge which can be reserved through the App. Having already showered in the JAL First Lounge, I didn’t use them.
Conclusion
This is a great Business Class lounge in may ways. There is plenty of seating, good Wifi and showers – along with great decor!
I’ve certainly had better food and drink choices in other Business Class lounges, but the offering was fair.
This is a lounge I would happily come back to!
I have been surfing on-line more than three hours nowadays, but I never found any attention-grabbing article like yours.
It’s lovely worth enough for me. In my view, if all site owners and bloggers made just right content as you did, the web
will be much more useful than ever before.
