Terminal 1, Changi Airport, Singapore.
Introduction
This is my review of the SATS Premier Lounge in Singapore’s Changi Airport, in Terminal 1.
This is ‘the’ Priority Pass lounge in Changi’s Terminal 1, and I would say an extremely good one!
Visited
14th October 2022 around 4pm
Opening Hours
The lounge is open 24 hours per day.
Entry Conditions
I was able to enter using my Priority Pass – however I did manage to take a picture of all the possibly entries. This included the American Express Platinum Card too!
How to Get There
Taking a left out of Passport Control, you’ll see some escalators, with the SATS Lounge well signposted.
Once you’re at the top of the escalators, take a left – and you’ll see the lounge in front of you.
Layout
This lounge is very large indeed – possibly one of the largest Priority Pass lounges I’ve visited. It has impressive decor, and seating for anything you may want to do!
The lounge has oodles of causal seating and tables.
For eating, the lounge has a good variety of dining seating.
If you need to work, there are two types of ‘pods’ – I think these are great!
As seems to be customary in Singapore’s lounges, there were also some massage chairs!
Food and Drink
Drinks
The good news is that unlike the lounge in Terminal 3, there were no silly drinks vouchers!
Instead, a large fridge contained various drinks – as well as a small self-serve selection of spirits – and coffee machines.
If I was going to be critical, I could criticise the lack of variety in drinks – but compared to many other lounges, this was pretty good!
Food
Food was also self-service and up for grabs was a variety of rice, chicken, and the usual Priority Lounge choices. I can’t say that I was bowled over by the food choices, and many of the buffet stations seemed to be empty.
Wifi
The Wifi worked for me, and was fairly good during my visit, I was getting around 25mps up and down.
Showers
I was actually very impressed by the showers. There were no charges, and I was offered an amenities kit as well as a towel. As an estimate I’d say there are 5 or 6 showers.
Conclusion
This is an extremely impressive lounge in terms of the seating, layout, showers and general thought that has gone into it.
What does let this down is the food and drink – which could be miles better. However, there are some great lounges in Singapore’s Terminal 1 – and this is still very good.
